    Q: Do I pay any fees to Express for finding me a job? 
    A: No, you are never charged a fee at Express to find a job.

Our associates are available for contract-to-hire, long-term and short term projects, as well as direct placement.     Q: Is Express a “temporary” staffing agency?
    A: No, we are not a temporary service. The vast majority of our business is assisting local companies who are looking for full time, permanent employees. Express has partnered with them who utilize our services as an extension of their Human Resources Department. Typically we provide the recruiting, pre-screening, interviewing, skill assessing and payroll processing on their behalf.

     

    Q: How do I apply with Express?

Once completed, we are able to review your background and requirements and contact you to set up a time to meet with us for an interview. With one application your skills and abilities will be matched with open positions requested by our clients.


    Q: What can I expect once I come into the office for an interview?
    A: Our process typically takes up to two hours. We want to get to know you by discussing your past career experiences, skills, abilities and requirements. We will also have you complete our pre-employment paperwork, perform skill assessment tests and a drug screen. Our process is really about qualifying you for the perfect position that will be a long term fit for you.


    Q: What are some other things I may want to know about Express?
    A: With over 750 offices throughout the world Express placed over 350,000 employees last year alone. Each office is in an independently owned franchisee. Last year, the Express office in Livingston County placed 255 associates into full time direct positions with one of our clients and over 1,000 since we opened in 2007.     A: All types! From administrative jobs to commercial and industrial jobs to professional and executive positions to medical, Express places many types of jobs at all levels.     Q: What determines if I get assigned to a job through Express? 
    A:  One of our client companies sends us a job request. We match the best applicants for the job requirements. When you’re a match and the client company agrees, we’ll call to see if you’re available to work. If you accept the assignment, we’ll provide you with all the information you need. Once you complete the job assignment, contact your Express office to be placed back on our list of available workers to be considered for future assignments. 

    Q: Do I have to accept every job assignment? 
    A: It’s always your choice whether or not to accept an assignment. 
    Flexibility is an Express advantage. Once you accept an assignment though, we depend on you to complete it. 

    Q: I have a friend who is looking for work; can Express help them? 
    A: One-third of all Express associates come from associate referrals. We have a long history of helping our associates’ friends and families find good jobs, and we appreciate their referrals.  

    Q: What is a “Workforce Account”?
