From the land of enchantment is Leandra Valdez. This New Mexico native joined our team at the beginning of December 2023 as our Front Office Coordinator. Leandra loves her job and wishes every day was payday so she could visit with our associates in person more than once a week. Please expect to be cared for when you walk in or call in by Ms. Valdez; she is a fast learner but, most importantly, brings a kind and patient presence to the front desk. 

Aloha, I am Renee Carson, and I am the proud Owner of the Pueblo and Cañon City offices.  I started my career with Express in 1988 as a temp, then soon after was hired as an internal staff member where eventually I found myself with the amazing opportunity to become partner, then majority owner.  The key to my business success has been an attitude of servitude.  I surround myself with the smartest and most giving people, this is a central component of my life.  I am well known for my positive outlook, helpful nature and love of Pueblo.

Since I believe that if you do the right thing, good things happen I have had many accomplishments that bring me pride, I have volunteered with numerous organizations throughout the years, including the Latino and Greater Pueblo Chambers of commerce, Goodwill, Pueblo Community College Foundation and Colorado State University-Pueblo Career advisory board.  In 2019 I was inducted into the Pueblo Hall of Fame.

For those of you who may not know me,  I am Derrick Martinez and I am the Branch Manager and Franchise Partner for the Pueblo/Cañon City locations.  I grew up in the business but started my official career with Express in 2005 where I worked my way up from the front desk, recruiting desk, outside sales and management.  I am proud to share that I successfully executed several temporary assignments and completed one temp to hire opportunity prior to working inside the office.  Anyone who works with me may first share that I am the guy with the contagious laugh, but so you understand I truly love what I do and the team that I work with.

I have had the pleasure of serving on many boards throughout the community, presently I am on the board for the Pueblo Chamber and Colorado State University of Pueblo School of Business Advisory.  When I am not in the office or on the golf course, I can be found spending time with my beautiful wife and four daughters… I know... four daughters!  All kidding aside, I enjoy helping people and I know that Express is the best resource available for our community.

I am Crystal Wetz and I'm an Employment Specialist for the Pueblo office.  With 30 years of restaurant management experience,  I took a leap of faith in September of 2019 and joined Express.  Shoot… I was nervous about the career change, but I hit the ground running and haven't looked back since.  In addition to a wealth of management knowledge, I'm also a graduate of the University of Phoenix.  Matching job seekers to good employers is rewarding.  A work-life balance is something I never thought was possible.  I mean… loving your job while still having time for family is like winning the lottery!
