Employers

  • Training

Education is central to Express. Our owner Robert Price offers a wide array of classes to meet the needs of your team! Not a current client of Express? No problem! Our classes are free of charge to any local business. We believe that when local companies are empowered with knowledge and training and they become employers of choice for our neighbors we all win! Classes offered are:

    • Faces of Change - Currently, there are four unique generations working side by side in the workforce. And, in just a couple of years, there will be five. With greatly varying beliefs, influences, and traits, it's bound to cause some conflict. Faces of Change is intended to shed light on the different generations and a few best practices to manage them. Including insight on the characteristics of Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, and Millennials this program will help you understand generational shifts and expose areas in your business that are prone to generational conflict.

    • Your Endangered Business - Success in business hinges on the ability to anticipate, respond, and adapt to threats. The old economy was made up of large companies facing limited competition in stable markets with significant barriers to competition. The new economy is about economic dynamism and competition, embodied by the fast-growing, entrepreneurial spirit.  It’s no longer the big that eat the small. It’s the fast that eat the slow.

    • Engage to Retain Building Employee Retention through On Boarding and Development - The process of building a productive workforce doesn’t end after a hiring decision is made. Without a comprehensive on boarding and development plan in place, you run the risk of watching your new employees walk out a constantly revolving door. The greatest strength of any successful organization is its employees. The Engage to Retain program highlights best practices supervisors can implement to help set up new employees for success and show commitment to their career development.

    • Monday Morning Leadership - This training class is a story with lessons that can be immediately applied to life. It is about a manager and his mentor. Monday Morning Leadership offers unique encouragement and direction to help become a better manager, employee and person

    • Understanding and Preventing Sexual Harassment - One of the most neglected parts of the law governs Sexual Harassment in the Workplace- which indeed is a form of discrimination as stated in the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that governs Discrimination in the Workplace.  Do you have a policy that familiarizes your employees with “Quid Pro Quo” and “Hostile Environment”?

    • Make Time Work for You - If you’re doing more and enjoying it less, it’s time to get out of the time-trap and back to productivity!  This seminar gives you practical techniques for taking control of your time and making it a manageable resource.

    • The Ideal Team Player - In his classic book The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, Patrick Lencioni laid out a groundbreaking approach for tackling the perilous group behaviors that destroy teamwork. Here he turns his focus to the individual, revealing the three indispensable virtues of an ideal team player. In The Ideal Team Player, Lencioni tells the story of Jeff Shanley, a leader desperate to save his uncle's company by restoring its cultural commitment to teamwork. Jeff must crack the code on the virtues that real team players possess and then build a culture of hiring and development around those virtues. Beyond the fable, Lencioni presents a practical framework and actionable tools for identifying, hiring, and developing ideal team players. Whether you're a leader trying to create a culture around teamwork, a staffing professional looking to hire real team players, or a team player wanting to improve yourself, this class will prove to be as useful as it is compelling.
