ANGELS HELPING ANGEL
Express Employment Professionals Deliver Holiday Cheer
OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (December 22, 2011) - For many Oklahomans, the holiday season is filled with twinkling lights, the warmth of a family, and a living room hidden under an abundance of wrapping paper. However, for a number of families, the blessing of good health is far more than sufficient. Express Employment Professionals understand that good health is a gift that money cannot buy, but they also understand the importance of spreading hope for families in need during the holidays.
The Express Employment Professional angels delivered early holiday cheer to Miracle Teen, Angel, her little sister Cheyenne and inspirational mother Patricia in The Children's Atrium. They fulfilled the sisters' Christmas wishes which included an abundance of warm clothes and a several desired toys.
Angel was born with Spina Bifida, scoliosis, horse-shoe shaped kidneys, asthma and growth hormone deficiency amongst a multitude of other birth defects. Despite her 21 surgeries, she enjoys the same hobbies as every other eighteen-year-old. Due to the exceptional care Angel has received from her specialists at The Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center, she has far exceeded her original one-week life expectancy.
"We're blessed to be able to give back to an organization we've partnered with for more than 20 years," said Jennifer Anderson, Express Employment Professionals Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Express was built around the idea of helping people and giving them hope, which is exactly what Children's Hospital Foundation does for families in Oklahoma City. Providing Christmas presents to this family is an extension of what both of our organizations do every day."
In addition to providing a merry Christmas to Angel's family, Express Employment Professionals participated in a holiday craft project for the children in the clinics. The world - renowned Express Clydesdales also made an appearance outside The Children's Atrium.
