Canton, OH March 2, 2016 – The Express Employment Professionals office in Canton knows how important it is to reward hard work and is doing so in 2016 by giving their workers a chance to win $1,000 and a variety of Express gifts, gas cards, and cash. 

This year, the international staffing company will give 30 winners $1,000 each as part of its Job Jackpot Sweepstakes. The Canton office will provide a scratch off ticket to anyone who works for the office between March 1-December 31, 2016. 

“We understand how important it is to have great people working for us with our client companies, and we’re excited to start this program in 2015 to show them our appreciation,” said Steve Michaels, franchisee of the Canton Express office.

If the scratch-off ticket isn’t an instant winner, workers can return the game piece to their Express office to be entered in a drawing to win $1,000.

For Third Year, Study Reveals Traits Employers Look For

CANTON, OH, DEC. 4—Express Employment Professionals today released new survey results revealing which traits are most important when considering a job candidate.   

The findings come from a survey of 134 Express franchisees across the nation. Respondents were asked to rate various traits on a scale of one to five based on how important they are when evaluating applicants. This is the third year Express has released findings from its “America Employed” survey on this topic. 

This year, “work ethic/integrity” topped the list with an average rating of 4.5, followed closely by attitude, which topped the list in 2014, with a rating of 4.47. Once again, education received the lowest rating, this time with an average of 2.44. 

“Many companies that we work with are all looking for the same thing, someone that is willing to work hard and learn new skills," said Stephen Michaels, franchise owner of the Canton Express office. "For someone with a good work history and willingness to learn, employers are willing to provide training and opportunities for growth. To keep the job, employees must demonstrate a high level of work ethic and integrity, and earn the chance to learn a new skill.” 

The survey of 134 Express Employment Professionals franchisees was conducted in July 2015. Earlier surveys were conducted in 2014 and 2013.
