    Express Healthcare Professionals - Charleston, WV 

    $11.00 - $11.50 an hour -  Contract 

    A local medical facility is looking to hire a medical assistant to support their growing business.

    Duties

    • Provide exceptional patient care, and patient care services under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner (NP)
    • Provide services as per physician’s or NP’s orders.
    • Obtain patient health information and vital signs, record information in the medical chart and/or electronic medical record.
    • Assist with patient medical examinations and diagnostic testing.
    • Organize and complete business and insurance records as directed.
    • Work with patients.

    Qualifications

    Graduate of a formal Medical Assistant, or Certified Medical Assistant program, with a passing score in West Virginia.

    • Possess current, applicable certification/registration as a Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant.
    • Require six (6) months current experience as an MA or CMA. Retain current BLS/CPR certification.
    • Require verbal and written skills in English.
    • Will be required to successfully pass a drug test & background check.

    Job Function Requirements

    • Able to stand up to eight hours. Able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
    • Must have reliable transportation.
    • Dress appropriately for the healthcare setting by wearing modest attire with minimal accessories that include sturdy, closed toe shoes.

    Job Type: Contract

    Salary: $11.00 to $11.50 /hour
