Jerry Hickey is the owner of Specialized Recruiting Group a division of Express Employment Professionals located in North Kansas City. Jerry and his wife Jill bought an Express Employment Professionals franchise in 2013 and added the Downtown Kansas City Express Pros franchise in 2016. Since opening, the Northland Express office has achieved numerous system records for the number of job placements and clients served.

Jerry is very active in local workforce development initiatives. Most recently he served as co-chair of the Northland Business and Education Alliance, NEBA, and is also an active Board Member for the North Kansas City Business Council. He is very informed about the workforce needs of employers and the realities of attracting and retaining employees.

Jerry grew up in St Charles, Missouri, was a collegiate wrestler at Missouri State University where he met his wife, Jill. He began a 20-year sales career in the pharmaceutical and managed care industries. This career involved relocations that took them farther and farther away from family, ultimately landing them in the New York City area. As their four children got older, they decided to settle down somewhere closer to both of their families. They chose the Kansas City area and after considerable research became Express Employment Professionals franchise owners. Jill spent most of her time before Express in outside sales and was instrumental in getting Express up and running leading to their success today. Jerry and Jill have three daughters and a son.
