Chris and Debby Winnenberg have owned their Express Employment Professionals franchise since 2002. During this time, they have made great strides toward bettering their community and linking excellent employees with fantastic job opportunities. They work closely daily with their team at Express to help ensure the most positive experience for their clients and associates.
Chris Winnenberg
In 1984 Chris graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Afterward, he spent 17 years working in the networking and telecommunication industries. He primarily worked in sales with Cisco in the early '90s and then Alcatel-Lucent in the mid to late '90s. Around the turn of the century, he leveraged his success in that industry and left the corporate scene to pursue a dream of running his own business. In 2002, after a year of researching the franchising industry, Chris and his wife Debby opened the doors of their Express franchise for the first time.
Chris has most enjoyed coaching and leading his team to success. The office is now the 80th largest operation in the franchise system out of over 700 offices worldwide. Due to such success, he was asked in 2011 to become a developer and started working to help advance nine other Express offices in the southwestern part of Ohio. He enjoys the professional networking and personal relationships of being a developer and takes great pride in watching other owners realize their dream of business ownership.
Chris is passionate about sports, golf, travel, SCUBA, and spending time with his family outside of the office.
Debby Winnenberg
Deb is the President and co-owner of the East Cincinnati Express Employment Professionals office in Eastgate, handling the daily details of keeping a successful business running.
Deb is an alumnus of Ohio University with a B.A. in Computer Systems in Business. Upon graduation from OU, Deb was employed with IBM for almost nine years as a Systems Engineer in their Marketing Division. She managed large clients in the Columbus and Cincinnati areas in this position. She helped with their capacity planning, sales, and installation of large system mainframe computers, associated software packages, and DASD storage devices. After the birth of their two sons, Deb retired from corporate life to stay home and raise the children. Once the youngest was in kindergarten, Deb volunteered and worked at St. Veronica's Church/School as a 1st-grade classroom assistant for several years.
With the purchase of their Express office franchise in mid-2002, Deb now handles all the finances and operations of the business. This includes payroll, A/P, A/R, QuickBooks, and taxes. She also has responsibility for payroll, benefits, taxes, and insurance for the internal staff at Express. Deb manages all worker's compensation and unemployment claims for the associates working with all clients and ensures that all policies and procedures are followed daily to ensure their continuation as an ISO-registered and approved office.
When Deb is not in the office, she plays golf, watches the Reds and Bengals, and travels.
Deb and Chris are passionate about serving their staff, associates, and clients in the Clermont and Warren County areas. They strive to make Express Employment Professionals the area's most respected, valued, and preferred Human Resource company.
