90% of those promoted to leadership said they were unprepared.

70% said they were surprised by their promotion.

Monday Morning Leadership is comprised of four 2.5 hour-sessions designed to infuse practical leadership skills into every day. Managers in organizations regularly report they are overwhelmed and underprepared for their leadership role. This leadership development program is focused on the “how to’s” of leadership. Participants will learn how to make the transition from shifting blame, to taking responsibility; bringing clarity and direction; setting the standard and holding others accountable; leading with integrity; hiring the right people; motivating their people; and managing their time. Every session ends with a commitment from each participant to start one new behavior and stop one behavior which is not effective. Each participant will have an accountability partner to review homework and discussions. Participants will walk away with a tailored development plan to continue their leadership journey choosing two key leadership behaviors which make the greatest impact now.

    Session Breakdown:

    SESSION 1:

    Drivers and Passengers

Participants will walk away with concrete steps to lead themselves and others by taking responsibility, stopping non-leadership behaviors and making transition from passive passenger to a driving leader.

Keeping the Main Thing the Main Thing

Leaders have the responsibility to bring clarity and focus to their teams and organizations. This session will help participants know how to clarify what the “main thing” is and bring focus to their team’s daily activities, getting everyone moving in the same direction.

    SESSION 2:

    Escape Management Land

Don’t get stuck in management land. Set the bar high, challenge and inspire your team to be high performers. Participants will learn how to escape management land by assessing their own leadership behaviors and taking the right steps to create a high performing workplace.

    The “Do Right” Rule

Participants will walk through various workplace scenarios creating a “do right” playbook.  They will discuss what it means to be a leader who creates a team culture aimed at doing the right thing no matter what.

    SESSION 3:

    Hire Tough

You can hire easy and manage tough or hire tough and manage easy. A core responsibility of a leader is to get the right people on the team. Participants will walk away with a proven framework to help them hire better candidates and manage easy.

    Buckets or Dippers

Getting the right people on the team is just half the battle; keeping them motivated is the next challenge. Participants will learn how to give feedback, create a team scoreboard, and ask probing questions to increase motivation and collaboration.

    SESSION 4:

    Do Less or Work Faster

There never seems to be enough time in a day. To be an excellent leader you need to have excellent time management skills. Participants will learn effective prioritization skills and how to run an effective meeting wasting less time and becoming more productive.
