  • Become an Intern with Express Employment Professionals!

Our Internship Program plays a key role in the success of our business and is a broad introduction to our  company. For a college student, the purpose of our internship is to help you bridge the gap between your education and a future career; possibly within the staffing and HR arena. At Express Employment  Professionals, you won't be observing from the sidelines or filing all day. Our interns are expected to perform and take on the same challenges and responsibilities as our staffing teams. From day one you will learn what it takes to run a successful business and you will learn more about staffing, human resources, service, sales, and business management then you can imagine.

During the internship you will spend time within each of our divisions while working for one of our Portland area branch offices. The objective of spending time with each business niche is to gain a better understanding of what they do and explore the different facets of Human Resources. While your  primary placement will be within an Express Employment Professionals office, you will have the opportunity to visit with each niche of business including: Xenium, Express Employment Professionals, Express Healthcare Professionals and Express Professionals Staffing.

As a professional intern, you will also have the opportunity to attend both team and client meetings, sales calls and presentations, and company events. The purpose of this internship is to acquaint you with the demands and opportunities within the field and to learn the kind of skills, reasoning ability, and  preparation necessary to be successful in the field.

At the end of the summer or internship session, each intern must provide an executive summary to our  leadership team describing your experience with us, areas of improvement and ideas you have about our organization.

We are looking for someone with the ability to socialize and communicate effectively. We want people who are energized by a challenge, follow through with their goals and are committed to excellence, work independently and in a team environment to get the job done.
