Application Tips

  • Useful tips for filling out a complete application:

    • Put as much work history as you can on the application.
    • Make sure you provide correct start/end dates for each prior employer.
    • Give accurate phone numbers for each previous employer (as well as for any references you list). Look up if needed.
    • Please list any schooling or certifications that you have as this often will explain gaps in your work history.
    • If you’ve applied online before, and do not remember your log in info, call 800-222-4057 and someone will retrieve that information for you.
    • If you need to correct dates/phone numbers/your contact information, or to add work history or education, please log back into your online application and resend it to the Howell/Brighton office for review.

     Please consider the following:

    • Please confirm that all portions of your online application register a green circle.
    • If there are any portions with a red circle, they need to be completed before your application can be sent to us.
    • Confirm that you distributed your application to the Howell/Brighton office (or any Express office you’d like to work for).

     When can you expect a call from an Express representative?

    • We review all applications.
    • Due to the number of applicants, we do not call everyone back.
    • You will be contacted if you are a good fit for the positions we are currently staffing for.

     How do we determine you are a good fit from looking at your application? 

    • We evaluate your experience and skill set against the qualifications and experience required for each position we are staffing for.
    • We evaluate your experience and skill set against other applicants to select the best qualified candidates as determined by the staffing consultants.
    • If we see a potential match for a position, we will contact you for further screening.c
