Elevator Installers and Repairers - $60,000 to $80,000 annually

The name may seem straight forward, but this role includes more than installing and repairing elevators. After an 11-21-2019-Picker-Packer apprenticeship program and earning any required certifications, you'll work on elevators, escalators, chairlifts, moving walkways, and similar equipment. And with a 10% job growth projected for this role through 2028, you can expect stability through seasonality or unforeseen economic downturns.

    Transportation Inspectors - $60,000 to $80,000 annually

Get a behind the scenes look at the transportation industry and make sure the ways people travel everyday are safe by becoming a transportation inspector with a high-school diploma and some on-the-job training. There may be additional certification required, for example with aviation inspectors. A transportation inspector in this industry will need to pass an exam administered by the Federal Aviation Commission.

    Sales Supervisor - $60,000 to $80,000 annually

If you have previous experience in non-retail sales (think pharmaceutical, technology, or manufacturing), then you may consider moving into management as a sales supervisor. You'll monitor the sales performance of a team of salespeople to ensure goals are being met, while also working with the team to build client presentations, solve customer service issues, and research new markets for expansion.

Construction and Building Inspector - $40,000 to $60,000 annually

Have you always been fascinated with how things are built and are determined to make sure things are done properly and safely? Then why not consider a career as a construction and building inspector? Whether you're a home inspector, building inspector or electrical inspector, this will leave you feeling confident you've made sure other people are safe in the places they work and live.

    Electricians - $40,000 to $60,000 annually

With an incredible 50,000 new jobs expected through 2028, becoming an electrician is an option that could provide not only job security, but also the ability to start your own business. You can learn to be an electrician through a technical school or by taking advantage of local apprenticeship opportunities that allow you to learn on-the-job. Later you may decide to venture out on your own and become an independent electrician, starting your own business and setting your schedule.

    Flight Attendants - $40,000 to $60,000 annually

Always dreamt of traveling the nation or even the world, and experiencing great cities and adventures along the way? Why not pursue your dream while also getting paid to do it! Great customer service skills are a large part of being a flight attendant, including calming and directing passengers under somewhat stressful situations, from turbulence to flight delays. But, with a high school diploma or the equivalent, and certification from the Federal Aviation Administration, you're on your way to a career that's really taking off!

Chefs and Head Cooks - $40,000 to $60,000 annually

With a passion for food and creating something from nothing, chefs and head cooks are often at the center of the dining experience for their guests. Amid a chaotic kitchen, these leaders are the calm in the storm, directing others what to do next to make sure the best food is being delivered. A formal degree is not always required to become a chef or head cook, with experience being the primary education, but some cooks take classes through a culinary or technical school.

Cargo and Freight Agent - $40,000 to $60,000 annually

Whether it's with an airline, train, truck or shipping station, cargo and freight agents are the frontline for a company to ensure shipments are arriving and delivered on time. With an attention to detail and the ability to multitask multiple shipments at once, these agents ensure that shipments from both domestic and international destinations are in order. There will likely be some training that happens through an employer and you can expect your workday to be in warehouses, stockrooms and shipping receiving stations.
