Steven and Sandy opened their Express Employment office in Lethbridge, AB in August 2019 and their goal was to provide the best staffing services available to their clients in Southern Alberta. The Lethbridge office achieved fast track in 2020 and has been honored as a Circle of Excellence office in 2021 and 2022.

Born and raised in Mauritius, Steven knew firsthand the value of hard work and not to take anything and nobody for granted. Surrounded by a vibrant community of entrepreneurs on this idyllic island (Marc Twain once said Mauritius was made first and then heaven; and heaven was copied after Mauritius), he knew right away that he wanted to an entrepreneur from a young age and the greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it.

Competitive in nature (Steven was a swimming champion in Mauritius coupled with playing competitive basketball during his high school years) and a BCOM graduate in Economics from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa, he spent a 13 year career in banking and finance and after that, it was just natural to go with Express as it is a domain that brings out his passion, competitivity and drive.

Steven views his office as being a servant leader in Southern Alberta where we treat each employee and client with the utmost respect, care and humility. We are most of the time contacted in times of need and because of that, we consider ourselves servants of our community.

Besides just working hard, Steven is always on the go and is a man consumed by Wanderlust. Having been to more than 25 countries and 6 out of the 7 continents (the 7 ^th one has 0 inhabitant), he aims to visit that frozen continent once his kids are grown up.

In 2019 Steven and I took a leap of faith and moved to Lethbridge to open our Express Employment office. It has been the most humbling and rewarding experience.

Also born and raised in Mauritius, I always had the Canadian dream in mind growing up. In 2010, that dream finally became true and nothing has stopped me ever since. I have been working in the Airline industry for the past decade and travelling and discovering cultures is one of my greatest passions besides being a wife and mother to our beautiful children.

Today I am most grateful to be able to do what I do while impacting our community by providing jobs and bringing top notch services to our clients.

Born in Calgary, and raised in Parksville on Vancouver Island, Melissa moved to Lethbridge to pursue her dreams of becoming a Stage Manager.

As an Employment Specialist with a focus on Light Industrial, Melissa can be found recruiting for the open positions, following up with our clients, or actively contacting potential clients to provide more opportunities for our associates to work. She is a big believer in constant communication, and is not afraid to reach out to our current or potential clients or associates, even when receiving pushback.

Melissa recently graduated in 2020 from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Fine Arts - Drama (Technical Theatre), with a minor in Addictions Counselling. Melissa enjoys utilizing the skills she developed as a Stage Manager to organize the chaos of what each day brings, and seeing what she can do to ensure that our clients are happy, and our associates have the opportunity to put food on the table. With a background in theatre, Melissa enjoys working in a high-pressure setting where she is challenged daily, and given the opportunity to grow with her role.

When not working, Melissa enjoys spending time relaxing with her two cats Leo and Moo, or going on adventures with her boyfriend. She is currently still a Stage Manager, working on productions as invited, throughout Lethbridge and area. 

On September 2021, Myra joined Express Lethbridge Team as a Front Office Coordinator, was rapidly promoted to Recruitment Specialist and pushed herself to be an Employment Specialist. Her dedication to help people to find work is her number one priority. She loves the challenge in working to a cultural diverse workforce, giving them new opportunities and good placements.

She was born and raised in the Philippines, blessed with two wonderful daughters. As a working mom she always finds time for her family and she believes that no matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up, and never give up.

Born in Red Deer, Jazden moved to Lethbridge in 2018 to start her Music Degree majoring in Vocal Performance and graduated in June of 2023. She graduated with a Music Diploma from Red Deer College in 2015 and has been in the pursuit of a higher education in the arts. She specializes in opera and jazz performance, singing in German, Italian, French and English. She aspires to create and perform music in her free time but has since found a love of administration and enjoys making new connections with all the associates who she has the pleasure of meeting with every day. As Front Office Coordinator and Recruitment Assistant Jazden gets the opportunity to get to know and help those who are in search of employment. With her kind and positive attitude, she is a great person to help those in need. Jazden believes in compassionate communication and understanding, while appreciating all the little things that make people unique.
