The opportunity to learn is too often taken for granted. While many children around the state have access to the support needed to succeed, others are at a disadvantage because of circumstances beyond their control. An international staffing company based in Oklahoma City is helping to ensure those children have every opportunity to make a better life for themselves.

Express Employment Professionals recently donated $10,000 and 21 computers to the Memorial Park Boys and Girls Club with the goal of providing children the tools they need to excel in school, especially in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math.

"In many cases, these children don't have a computer at all, so this might be the only opportunity they have to do their homework," said Cory Benton, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Express.

Students at the clubs have access to Job Genius, an educational program from Express designed to teach young adults how to successfully enter the workforce.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County provide a safe, positive place for kids.

"We are trying to help our youth become employed and have positive futures and we know that aligns perfectly with what Express Employment Professionals does to help people become ready for the work world," said Jane Sutter, President and CEO of The Boys and Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County.

Express Employment Professionals has a long-term goal to put a million people to work annually.
