  • Staffing Company Donates More than $50,000 to Support Education

    OKLAHOMA CITY - October 27, 2016

Express Employment Professionals is keenly aware of the impact education has on the national economy.

When jobs go unfilled because employees don't have the skills or knowledge to be successful, business production slows and people lose out on opportunities to succeed.

Helping solve the skills gap for employers and providing hope to employees who want to provide for their families, the Express scholarship program awarded more than $50,000 to students and schools across the U.S. this year.

"Express is committed to raising the level of education for both current and future generations," said Bob Funk, CEO and chairman of the board for Express. "This scholarship program is not only building on that future, but it will help exceptional students continue their education and contribute to businesses and our economy."

Since the beginning of the program, Express has presented more than $280,000 in scholarship funds. The donations have been given to students attending universities, community colleges and vocational schools, as well as scholarship funds across North America.

"The value of an education that prepares someone for a job that is in demand cannot be overstated," Funk said. "Our offices are always looking for workers with the hard skills that come with education, and the soft skills that are developed during that education process."

Express Employment Professionals is on a mission to put a million people to work annually. With the international headquarters based in Oklahoma City, the company generated $3.02 billion in sales and employed a record 500,002 people in 2015. Express provides expertise in evaluation hire, temporary staffing, professional search and human resources.

Express has more than 770 offices in the U.S., Canada and South Africa, and is committed to the vision of helping as many people as possible find good jobs by helping as many clients as possible find good people.
