Christina Muniz
National Clinical Director
In 2013, Christina Muniz received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Breckinridge School of Nursing in Portland, Oregon. She began her nursing career at a small, critical access hospital on the southern Oregon coast, where she was able to experience all aspects of patient care. Christina then moved on to a medical and infusion unit, and later a neurosurgery and orthopedic medical-surgical unit both at Portland area hospitals. In February 2015, Christina joined Express Healthcare Professionals as a per-diem nurse, picking up shifts at local hospitals in the medical/surgical arena. She enjoyed the flexibility to plan her work as a nurse around the activities of her three children.
Christina’s clinical specialties include neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, and acute medical-surgical nursing. She enhanced her leadership skills by serving as a charge nurse of a 36-bed unit. Christina has been involved in orienting new nurse employees, as well as precepting and mentoring nursing students during their clinical rotations.
Prior to her career as a registered nurse, Christina spent 10 years in business management and sales, real estate, and property management in her home state of Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. The interpersonal and problem-solving skills she developed during this time have enabled her to better manage complex situations she has encountered as a nurse.
In August 2016, Christina accepted the position of National Clinical Director of Express Healthcare Professionals. She is excited to combine both her clinical knowledge and her business background to support the clinical needs of Express Healthcare Professionals.
Caring for people and forming relationships with her patients and coworkers is Christina’s passion. She believes in providing safe and exceptional care to every patient she encounters.
Christina is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management through Western Governors University.
