  • The Top Reasons You Might Not Be Getting Invited Back for a Second Interview

    Pensacola, FL - October 11, 2021

Employment in Pensacola FL No matter how much experience you have, if you don't know what to expect in a job interview, it can be hard to impress the hiring manager. In this blog post, a  local staffing firm  will look at some of the most common reasons that people might not get invited back for a second interview and offer advice on how to avoid them!

    1) You were late

Imagine you've been invited back for a second interview, and now you're stuck in traffic! It's good to plan out your route ahead of time so that something like this doesn't happen. If you do find yourself arriving late, make sure the interviewer is aware as soon as possible - don't just walk into their office five minutes after they expect it to start! Come prepared - if necessary, write down what happened before the interview starts and hand it over to them when you arrive. They might even be impressed by how forthcoming you are being about the situation! Blaming other people or making up excuses probably won't go down well.

    2) You didn't research the company

One of the most common mistakes people make during interviews is not doing enough to prepare. If you don't know anything about what it's like to work at a company or why they might be hiring, chances are that this will come across in your interview. Spend some time researching their website and learning more about them before you go into an interview - ask for clarification about anything you don't understand about their mission during your first interview if necessary.

    3) You didn't ask questions

You should always have some questions ready to ask at the end of an interview. Most people think that this is where you get a chance to talk about something other than why you want the job, but it serves another purpose too - asking good questions shows your interest in what goes on behind-the-scenes and helps employers to see if they would be able to work with someone like you!

Don't worry if none of these apply - remember that hiring managers can only form opinions based on how candidates act during interviews. Even the best preparation won't guarantee success unless you show up for your meetings fully prepared and looking professional. If you need help finding work, you can always contact Express Employment Professionals for aid in finding job openings  in your area.
