Job Description:
The Product Engineer has the responsibility to analyze and define product standards. Continuous improvement of all product data should be the primary goal with the end result of increased product quality and profitability. The scope of engineering projects can range from small projects taking a few days to large projects covering many months. The Product Engineer will be required to work with many different individuals and groups within the organization to ensure quality production of products. Adaptability is a must due to the ever-changing duties related to each individual project.
Duties:
· Create and maintain Unit Identity (ID) data within production software including measurements, materials, imaging, etc.
· Create and maintain unit Bill of Materials (BOM) for new and existing product
· Identify components and record data including part numbers, technical specs, images, etc.
· Using customer requirements, create detailed product requirements for new and existing product
· Create and maintain Production Work Orders (PWO) and Work Instructions (WI) for new and existing product including technical specs, images, and specific procedures
· Assist with Quality Stop (Q Stop) inspections
· Perform product and component testing on various test equipment as part of the product engineering process
· Data collection to drive continuous product improvement and root cause corrective action
· Recommend engineering design changes as needed
· Create CAD/Solidworks prints/models for various engineering projects
· Report and escalate to management as needed
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
· Strong mechanical aptitude
· Must be able to read and understand English
· Knowledge and experience in the use of personal computers including work-processing and database applications.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Training:
· Safety training including the use and care of PPE
