Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking an experienced Controller for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established organization in Wichita, KS. This is an exciting chance for a strategic and detail-oriented professional to optimize operations, improve processes, and drive organizational efficiency.

In this role, you’ll oversee front office operations, streamline financial systems, and create data-driven reports that support executive decision-making. The Controller will play a key part in integrating technology, enhancing workflows, and ensuring alignment between financial performance and business goals.


What You’ll Do:

  • Build, analyze, and maintain accurate financial reports and performance metrics for leadership.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee front office operations to ensure organization, efficiency, and excellent client service.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and lead improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, document, and optimize standard operating procedures.
  • Partner with leadership and project managers to align operations and finance.
  • Leverage technology to streamline systems and improve productivity.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and solutions-focused work environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in operations, finance, or process improvement with a focus on optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience building and interpreting financial reports.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Sage and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to create and improve operational and financial processes.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with technology integration or systems implementation is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site work environment (40+ hours per week).

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in change management or leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, or cost analysis.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $120,000
  • Total Compensation: Up to $170,000 with benefits and retirement
  • Retirement Plan: 25% company match
  • Health Insurance: 100% paid employee coverage (IBEW plan)
  • Paid Time Off:
    • 2 weeks vacation to start, increasing annually (up to 4 weeks)
    • 5 paid sick days
