Are you an accounting professional looking for your next opportunity? We are partnering with several employers near the Oklahoma City metro area that are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountants to join their teams. These opportunities span a variety of industries and offer the potential to gain valuable experience through contract and contract-to-hire assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
- Analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and audit preparation
- Support accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bookkeeping functions as needed
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
- Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- CPA designation or CPA candidate is a plus, but not required
- 1–3+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting
- Experience in fund accounting, real estate accounting, public accounting, or corporate accounting is highly desirable
- Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas such as VLOOKUPs
- Experience with QuickBooks, TaxDome, or similar accounting software is preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines
