Shipping & Receiving Specialist
Auburn, AL
Pay: $17 - 21
Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 7am - 5pm CST
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join a fast-paced warehouse and distribution team. This position plays a key role in ensuring incoming and outgoing materials are accurately processed, organized, and delivered on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
- Unload trucks and safely move materials throughout the warehouse
- Prepare, stage, and load outbound orders for delivery or customer pickup
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
- Pull, package, and label orders according to customer specifications
- Coordinate with warehouse, production, and delivery teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Conduct routine inventory counts and assist with inventory control processes
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Assist customers, drivers, and vendors with shipping and receiving inquiries as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred (certification is a plus)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors as needed
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer and inventory software experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
