Rodbuster / Rebar Cutter / Fabricator
Location: Bessemer, AL
Pay: BOE (Based on Experience) – $17/hr minimum
A prefabricated building systems manufacturer specializing in electrical substation control buildings and communication shelters is seeking an experienced Rodbuster / Rebar Cutter / Fabricator to support production within a concrete manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities

Follow all safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

Cut, bend, and fabricate rebar pieces and rebar cages
-
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to build cage structures
-
Accurately use a tape measure for layout and fabrication
-
Manage and complete multiple projects during the same shift
-
Work outdoors when required and in varying conditions
-
Operate equipment such as forklifts and MEWPs after proper training
-
Perform cleanup and housekeeping duties
-
Assist with additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
-
May drive or ride in a company vehicle/service truck with proper authorization
Requirements
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Valid Driver’s License
-
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
-
Proven experience with rebar cutting, bending, and cage fabrication

Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints proficiently

Physically able to:

Willing to work outdoors as needed

Willing to perform any assigned task

Self-motivated and able to work independently

Reliable transportation
-
Willing to work overtime, including weekends
-
Flexible end of day; may be required to stay past 3:30 PM until tasks are completed
