Framer / Carpenter
Location: Bessemer, AL
Shift: First Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday with overtime opportunities
We are seeking an experienced Framer/Carpenter to join a growing construction team in Bessemer. This position is ideal for a skilled professional who can read blueprints, work independently, and contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
-
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine interior layouts
-
Ensure correct components and materials are securely installed on interior and exterior structures
-
Measure, mark, and cut drywall, wallboard, and framing materials
-
Patch, trim, tape, plaster, and smooth joined panels
-
Safely use and maintain hand and power tools
-
Work comfortably at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
-
Troubleshoot installation or framing issues both in-house and on job sites
-
Travel to job sites as needed to resolve issues
Requirements
-
Five or more years of carpentry experience preferred

Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure accurately

Working knowledge of construction math, framing, drywall installation, and hand/power tools

Self-sufficient, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Ability to meet physical job demands, including kneeling, climbing, balancing, extended overhead work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working outdoors when necessary

Willingness to work overtime, including weekends as needed

Reliable transportation

Ability to pass a drug screen and background check (clean background required)
