Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Booth Sprayer to join our finishing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in spray painting within a controlled booth environment and a strong understanding of surface preparation, coating application, and safety protocols. If you take pride in delivering clean, even finishes and enjoy working in a fast-paced production setting, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming as needed
- Operate spray painting equipment in a paint booth to apply coatings to metal, wood, or plastic parts
- Mix and apply paint according to job specifications and manufacturer instructions
- Inspect finished work for quality, consistency, and proper coverage
- Maintain and clean spray guns, hoses, filters, and paint booth area
- Follow safety procedures including PPE usage, ventilation standards, and proper handling of materials
- Track paint usage and maintain inventory of coatings and supplies
- Work with production teams to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality finishes
- Assist with minor touch-ups, repairs, or rework as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in spray painting or paint booth operations
- Knowledge of different paint types (e.g., lacquer, enamel, urethane) and their applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, even coatings
- Comfortable working with hand and power tools
- Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and safety guidelines
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Forklift certification a plus but not required
