Job Title: Aluminum Tig Welder ($17-$20 per hour)
Location: Tallassee, AL
Job Type: Full-time
Shift: Day shift
Pay Range: $16-$20 per hour
Position Overview:
As an Aluminum TIG Welder, you’ll be responsible for fabricating and welding aluminum components with high precision and attention to detail. This role requires experience with thin-gauge aluminum and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG welding on aluminum parts and components with minimal supervision
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work orders
- Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards
- Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and fitting as needed
- Inspect completed welds and perform touch-ups or repairs as necessary
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Operate hand and power tools as needed
- Follow all shop safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
Requirements:
- 2+ years of TIG welding experience with a focus on aluminum
- Skilled in welding thin-gauge aluminum with consistency and precision
- Ability to read blueprints and follow written/verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Must provide own welding hood and basic hand tools
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding certification a plus (AWS or equivalent)
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Familiarity with MIG welding is a bonus
