Job Title: CNC Programmer ($20-$30 per hour)

Pay Range: $20-$30 per hour
Position Overview:
The CNC Programmer will write, edit, and troubleshoot programs for CNC machines, ensuring that parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and to exact specifications. This role requires collaboration with machinists, engineers, and production managers to streamline manufacturing processes and meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and modify CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
- Select appropriate tools, cutting speeds, and feeds for various materials
- Work closely with setup operators to ensure proper machine setup and tooling
- Troubleshoot and optimize programs for cycle time, tool life, and quality
- Perform test runs and inspections to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Maintain organized program documentation and revision history
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on new product launches and process improvements
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing or job shop environment
- Proficient in G-code and M-code programming
- Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Strong knowledge of machining operations, tools, and materials
- High attention to detail and a commitment to precision and safety
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software
- Background in prototype or high-mix, low-volume environments
