Pay Range: $15-17 per hour
Position Overview:
The Press Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor press machines while following production schedules and quality standards. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press machines according to work orders and specifications
- Load materials, align parts, and ensure proper machine settings
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or irregularities
- Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press machines
- Record production data and maintain accurate work logs
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience operating press machines or similar equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical instructions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in metal stamping, plastic molding, or similar press operations
Forklift certification or material handling experience
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices
