Job Title: Automotive Technician – Dealership Service Bay ($18-$30 per hour)

Pay Range: $18-$30 per hour
Position Overview:
As an Automotive Technician, you will perform accurate diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles. You’ll work closely with service advisors and other technicians to deliver quality service and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate diagnostics using computerized scan tools and traditional methods
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, and other components
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections
- Work efficiently in a dealership service bay environment following manufacturer guidelines
- Document all repairs and maintenance in accordance with service standards
- Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding vehicle status and repair needs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with dealership policies
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional automotive repair experience (dealership or high-volume shop preferred)
- ASE certification(s) strongly preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with scan tools, diagnostic software, and technical service bulletins
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and wiring diagrams
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to high-quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications:
Factory certifications from major manufacturers (Hyundai, Kia, Ford, GM, Toyota, etc.)
Experience working directly in dealership service bays
Knowledge of warranty repair processes and flat-rate environments
