Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor ($25-$30 per hour + Benefits)
Location: Montgomery, AL
Job Type: Full-time
Shift: 7am-4pm Mon-Fri
Pay Range: $25-$30 per hour + Benefits
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving activities, and lead a team in a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of warehouse supervisory experience, hands-on forklift operation, and a strong working knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving incoming shipments, staging product, picking, packing, and outbound shipping
- Coordinate and verify shipping and receiving documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse associates to meet productivity, quality, and safety goals
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed
- Ensure all inbound and outbound freight is handled, stored, and shipped properly
- Enforce company policies, OSHA standards, and safety procedures
- Monitor workflow, labor utilization, and staffing levels to optimize efficiency
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution
- Conduct performance coaching, evaluations, and corrective actions when necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of warehouse supervisory or lead experience required
- 2+ years of hands-on shipping and receiving experience
- 2+ years of forklift operation experience (certification preferred or required)
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics processes
- Ability to read and interpret bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels
- Basic computer skills (WMS, inventory software, Microsoft Office preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with shipping carriers, freight scheduling, and dock operations
- Familiarity with inventory and warehouse management systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required
