Job Title: Experienced Metal Stamping Machinist ($16-$18 per hour)

Pay Range: $16-$18 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Metal Stamping Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining metal stamping presses to produce high-quality parts that meet safety, quality, and production standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with progressive and/or transfer dies and a strong commitment to precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot mechanical and/or hydraulic stamping presses
- Install, align, and adjust dies and tooling
- Monitor press operations to ensure consistent quality and productivity
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Make adjustments to maintain tolerances and correct defects
- Follow all safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements
- Perform routine maintenance and report equipment issues
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications
- Document production and quality data accurately
- Work closely with supervisors, toolmakers, and quality personnel
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience as a Metal Stamping Machinist (or equivalent)
- Experience with progressive, compound, and/or transfer dies
- Knowledge of press setups, die protection systems, and feed systems
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and quality standards preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
