About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs to produce high-quality parts while maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies.
- Set up and troubleshoot CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
- Perform first article inspections and verify part accuracy.
- Maintain program documentation and revision control.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or machining certification preferred.
- Experience programming CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM, or similar).
- Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, and machining principles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of CNC programming experience.
- Experience with multi-axis machining.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with precision measurement tools and quality inspection processes.
