Job Full Description
Accurately weighing scrap metal using scales and recording the weight data for transactions.
Inputting weight data into computer systems or logs, ensuring accurate records for inventory and billing.
Assisting customers who bring in scrap metal, providing them with information on pricing, and completing transactions.
Inspecting materials for quality and type, ensuring that they meet recycling standards and identifying any contaminants.
Maintaining accurate records of transactions, including receipts, weight tickets, and inventory reports.
Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
Performing routine maintenance on scales and other equipment to ensure accurate readings and efficient operation.
Working with other team members to coordinate the processing and loading of materials.
Communicating any discrepancies, issues, or unusual patterns in material intake to supervisors.
Assisting in managing stock levels of processed materials and ensuring proper storage and organization.
