Job Overview: Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines that shape plastic or metal into parts using molds
Job Description:
Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines that shape plastic or metal into parts using molds. Prepare and operate molding machines to produce parts from thermoplastic or thermoset materials. Inspect molded parts for defects, measure dimensions, and ensure they meet specifications.
Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance on machines and molds, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
Troubleshooting: Identify and fix issues like flashing, short shots, or improper fill.
Skills & Qualifications

Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to understand machine operations and make adjustments.

Attention to Detail: Spotting defects and ensuring consistent product quality.

Physical Stamina: Standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs may be required.

Basic Math & Reading: For interpreting blueprints, instructions, and measurements.

Teamwork & Communication: Collaborating with supervisors and other technicians.
