Manual Machine Operator (Lathe, Mill, Grinder, Drill Press, Saw)

Pay Rate: $20–$25 per hour (DOE)

Job Description
Our staffing service is currently seeking experienced Manual Machine Operators for a client in the Little Rock area. This role involves operating a variety of manual machines to fabricate, modify, or repair metal and other materials while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual machines including lathe, mill, grinder, drill press, and saw
- Set up machines, select proper tooling, and adjust feeds and speeds
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Inspect finished parts using basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Maintain tight tolerances and meet quality requirements
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating manual machining equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and measure parts accurately
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred
Schedule
- Day shift (overtime may be available depending on production needs)
