Diesel Mechanic
Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Fleet Maintenance
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and mechanical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
- Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and air systems.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical problems.
- Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and other scheduled maintenance.
- Inspect vehicles and equipment for safety and operational issues.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Keep tools and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous diesel mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read service manuals and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- CDL or applicable certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
