Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical / Automation Technician to join a growing company specializing in automated manufacturing equipment and PLC-controlled systems. This position is ideal for someone with a strong industrial electrical background who is comfortable troubleshooting, wiring, and working with automated machinery.
Job Duties:
- Install, wire, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical components and automated equipment
- Work with PLC-controlled machinery and automation systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Troubleshoot electrical, controls, sensors, motors, switches, and related components
- Assist with wiring and assembly of control panels and automated machinery
- Work with VFDs, HMIs, relays, contactors, and motor controls
- Diagnose electrical and equipment issues and complete necessary repairs
- Assist with machine installation, startup, testing, and commissioning
- Perform preventative maintenance and electrical repairs as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures while working around energized equipment and machinery
Qualifications:
- Previous industrial electrical, controls, automation, or PLC experience preferred
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and motor controls
- PLC troubleshooting experience is highly preferred
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment is a plus
- Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail
