Express Employment is looking for Telecommunication/Low-Voltage Technicians. This position requires 2-4 years of current experience. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and can work independently or as part of a team on residential, commercial, and construction projects.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm, work hours may vary
Location: Chico, CA
Job Description:
• Audio/Visual Systems: Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain audio/visual equipment, including displays, speakers, and related systems
• Security Cameras: Install, mount, wire, configure, and test security camera and surveillance systems
• PoE (Power over Ethernet): Install and troubleshoot PoE-powered devices, including cameras, access points, and other network equipment
• Fiber Optics: Install, route, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber-optic cabling, as qualified
• Ethernet & Network Cabling: Install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e, Cat6, and other network cabling
• Wire Management: Route, organize, secure, label, and dress cables neatly in racks, cabinets, conduits, and equipment rooms
• Install and support low-voltage wiring and telecommunications infrastructure
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications
• Identify and resolve wiring, connectivity, and equipment issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Coordinate with project managers, electricians, contractors, and other team members
• Follow applicable building codes, safety requirements, and installation standards
Qualifications:
• Must have 2-4 years of current telecommunications, low-voltage, or structured cabling experience
• Hands-on experience with audio/visual installations, security cameras, PoE, Ethernet, wire management, network cabling, fiber optics, and low-voltage installations.
• Familiarity with fiber-optic systems and installation practices
• Ability to use hand tools, cable testers, and other installation equipment
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams, plans, and technical documentation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work on ladders, lift equipment, and perform physical installation work
• Detail-oriented, professional, and able to work well with others
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with commercial and residential construction projects
• Experience terminating and testing fiber-optic cables
• Knowledge of network switches, routers, patch panels, and equipment racks
• Experience with access control systems, Wi-Fi access points, and structured cabling systems
• Relevant low-voltage, telecommunications, or manufacturer certifications
