Express Employment is looking for a Temporary Clerical Office Assistant. This position is about 3 months.
Pay: $21/Hour
Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm
Location: Chico, Ca
Job Description:
• Process large volumes of paperwork that is coming into the office electronically as well as the US Mail and upload the information into the client’s medical record
• Prepare correspondence to clients/patients, physicians, other health care providers
• Assist nurses and social workers in scheduling zoom visits and providing other clerical support functions
• Attention to detail while assisting in quality assurance process review of medical records
• Ability to take notes of meetings and create written minutes for distribution to the team
• Verifying MediCal Insurance coverage for clients as needed
• Return client and provider phone calls regarding the status of their application or other records
• Provide relief for receptionist as needed with a multi-line phone system
• Meets audit deadlines for medical record review and program reports
• Cross trained to all clerical support functions in the company's program
• Manage and train the clerical staff
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• At least 1-2 years of current experience
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to get along with other team members in a professional health care environment
• Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
• Must have the ability to type 35 WPM with 5 or less errors
• Must have the ability to work independently and prioritize projects, work relatively independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet recurring deadlines
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Valid California driver’s license and insurance and ability to drive oneself on all roads & weather conditions
• Clean DMV driving record with no violations
