Location: Chico, CA
Job Description:
- Oversee day-to-day plant operations, including production, packaging, warehouse, and facility activities.
- Lead and manage production supervisors and plant employees to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure production schedules and customer orders are met on time.
- Monitor production performance, productivity, labor, and operating costs.
- Ensure adequate staffing, equipment, materials, and training are available to meet production goals.
- Maintain high standards for food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and enforce safety procedures and ensure employees follow all plant safety requirements.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to maintain product quality and food-safety objectives.
- Identify production issues and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and coordinate with maintenance personnel to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and supply-chain teams.
- Track key production metrics and provide regular performance reports to senior management.
- Train, coach, and develop employees while maintaining accountability and performance standards.
- Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, productivity, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Help implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other process-improvement initiatives where appropriate.
- Ensure the plant operates efficiently while maintaining the company's standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by Upper Management.
Requirements:
- 5 - 10 plus years of current experience
- Must have clean background check
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
