Production Associate – Powder Coating
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Location: Fountain Valley, CA
Schedule: 1st shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Occasional overtime available
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable Production Associate to support a painting and powder coating company. This role focuses on preparing metal and plastic parts for painting and powder coating by masking, sanding, and cleaning components. This role is ideal for someone with painting, powder coating, or handyman experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Mask parts using tape and plastic to properly prepare them for painting and powder coating
- Ensure precise masking to protect designated areas and meet quality standards
- Sand metal or plastic parts using sandpaper as needed
- Clean and prep parts prior to coating
- Inspect parts for defects and ensure readiness for production
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures and production guidelines
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy
- Comfortable working with hand tools, tape, sandpaper, and cleaning materials
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle parts throughout the shift
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Prior production or manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required
