Quality Control Inspector
Location: Costa Mesa, CA
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6:30am-3:00pm
Type of Position: Evaluation Hire
Pay Rate: $20.00-23.00/hour BOE
Job Overview
We are hiring a detailed Quality Control Inspector to inspect all incoming parts and materials prior to assembly. Candidates must have prior mechanical QC experience, using various instruments to ensure critical dimensions are within tolerance.
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming parts and materials for quality and dimensional accuracy
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify critical dimensions
- Ensure components meet required tolerances and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Document inspection results and report any discrepancies
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, thread, pin, and height gages.
Skills
- 3+ years of mechanical quality control or inspection experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for reporting findings clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams focused on maintaining high-quality standards.
- Proficient with the following measuring tools:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Pin gages
- Height gages
- Thread gages
- Microscope
