Express Employment of Downey is seeking a QUALITY INSPECTOR for our client in the city of Los Angeles.
SHIFT: 7AM - 3:30PM (Monday through Friday - possible overtime may be required)
PAY: $28.00 to $32.00 an hour (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: full-time, long-term, temp to permanent hire
Responsibilities:
- Checking quality of finished parts before going to assembly
- Perform dimensional inspection, verifying length, width, thicknesses, checking for markings/part numbers
- Support QC areas as QC Inspector - areas may include receiving inspection, assembly, machine shop, electrical, welding, testing, document pre-screen etc.
- Ensuring parts are within specific tolerances per drawings and specifications provided
- May need to interface with suppliers and/or customers
Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience as a QC Inspector in a manufacturing environment REQUIRED
- Certifications in GD&T, Quality Inspection, relevant ASQ areas, or college degrees in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or other technical fields are a PLUS
- Must have basic understanding of hardware blueprints (notes, features, views, tolerances etc.), knowledge of specifications and contractual requirement obligations
- Ability to handle physical workload (ability to lift up to 50 lbs)
- Strong communication skills (able to read, write, and speak English)
- Proficient math skills
- MUST be able to work well with others
- Able to perform computer tasks and have basic typing skills
