Job Full Description
Express Employment of Downey is seeking a MILL HAND for a well-established animal feed plant in the city of Downey, CA.
Schedule: 11:30AM to 7PM (Mon through Fri)
Pay: $19.00 an hour
Employment Type: TEMP TO PERMANENT HIRE
Job Responsibilities:
- Unload all bulk grain deliveries by operating mill equipment such as augers, elevators and winches
- Must position truck or rail car and safely operate all necessary equipment to unload, clean and store the grain
- Operate the grain cleaner, corn cracker and mill vacuum system
- Must perform all maintenance and upkeep of equipment
- When required, assist with customer service; retrieval of orders and loading of customers’ vehicles, and general mill work as directed by a supervisor
Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in heavy industrial environment
- Must know how to follow instructions
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, stretch, and sit for long periods of time
