We are seeking a passionate and skilled Advanced-Level Cook to join our client needing a member of their culinary team in a scenic winery in Saint Helena. This role blends high-level culinary expertise with a deep appreciation for wine. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment where food and wine pairings are central to the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and execute elevated dishes that complement the winery’s wine offerings
• Source and incorporate fresh, local ingredients with a focus on sustainability
• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
• Participate in winery events, tastings, and culinary showcases
Experience
• Seeking a chef with minimum 5 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in fine dining, or winery setting.
• Expertise in various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Understanding this position requires the working hours of the weekends and possibly special events
Prefer a candidate with strong culinary experience (prefer a culinary school graduate)
