Heavy Packer Flat Roll Department
$19.00 per hour
Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30 pm
(Must be open to train 5am-1:30pm)
A growing metal distribution company is seeking a dependable and motivated Heavy Packer to join our Flat Roll Department. This role involves packing flat rolled metal sheets and coils, with occasional use of a sit-down forklift. Initial training will be provided to ensure you're familiar with job duties, safety protocols, and equipment use. Heavy Packer Flat Roll Department Responsibilities:
- Pack flat rolled metal sheets and coils according to company standards
- Use of hand tools and banding/strapping equipment as needed
- Operate a sit-down forklift occasionally to move materials
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Heavy Packer Flat Roll Department Requirements:
- Prior experience in metal distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse setting preferred
- Ability to lift heavy materials regularly
- Willingness to stand and bend throughout the shift
- Steel toe boots required
- Forklift experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
