Production Lead
$26.00 per hour
Monday - Thursday / 6:00am-4:00pm
A drilling company is seeking a detail-oriented Production Lead to take charge of daily operations and lead a small team in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time leadership role focused on production flow, team performance, and operational efficiency. A 6–7 month hands-on training period will be provided to learn our systems, processes, and quoting methods, ensuring a strong understanding of how we operate before fully stepping into the role. Production Lead Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory control
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities
- Input orders and update travelers in company systems
- Lead weekly meetings with employees to communicate goals and updates
- Schedule jobs and determine daily/weekly production priorities
- Ensure production quotas are met (parts per hour)
- Identify errors and troubleshoot issues to maintain quality and efficiency
- Learn to quote jobs and support estimating as needed
- Report directly to the company owner
Production Lead Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience in a production or shop environment
- Machine shop experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and lead by example
- Willingness to learn new systems and take initiative
