Dispatch/Customer Service Representative
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour / DOE
Monday-Friday
A growing transportation company is looking for a motivated and experienced Dispatch/Customer Service Representative who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have dispatch experience, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position involves working closely with clients, drivers, fellow dispatchers, and team members across different states to ensure timely deliveries and satisfied customers. Dispatch/Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:
- Manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and urgency
- Dispatch drivers for local and national routes
- Coordinate with team members in multiple states to ensure smooth operations
- Proactively resolve customer and driver issues in a timely manner
- Provide updates, ETA’s, and route solutions to clients and internal teams
- Work closely with other dispatchers to maintain route efficiency and service quality
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of dispatch activities
- Demonstrate initiative and ownership in resolving challenges
- Build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and clients
Dispatch/Customer Service Representative Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in dispatch or transportation logistics
- Strong customer service background and phone communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of transportation logistics and routing software a plus
- Comfortable working with teams across multiple states and time zones
