Metal Packer
$19.00 per hour
Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30 pm
(Must be open to train 5am-1:30pm)
A growing metal distribution company is seeking a dependable Metal Packer to join its Flat Roll Department. This is a long-term opportunity offering hands-on work in an industrial environment. Initial training will be provided to ensure familiarity with job duties, safety procedures, and equipment operation.You are applying through Express Employment Professionals, an award-winning staffing firm.
Metal Packer – Flat Roll Department Responsibilities:
- Package flat rolled metal sheets and plates according to company standards
- Stack supplies and materials safely and efficiently
- Pack flat rolled metal coils using banding/strapping equipment
- Use hand tools as required for packaging and securing materials
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with general shop and warehouse tasks as assigned
- Occasionally operate a sit-down forklift to move materials and product
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety procedures
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Metal Packer – Flat Roll Department Requirements:
- Previous experience in metal distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse setting preferred
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials on a regular basis
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Steel-toe boots required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
