Maintenance Technician
$26.00 -$28.00 per hour / DOE
Monday Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
A residential property management company seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair work in occupied rental homes. This role requires someone dependable, professional, and comfortable working independently inside residents’ homes, sometimes when they are not present. The technician will handle plumbing repairs, minor drywall work, basic electrical tasks and general handyman duties while managing work orders through our system and communicating directly with residents to schedule and confirm service appointments. Property locations vary daily, and travel between multiple sites is required.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Replace toilets and garbage disposals
- Install and replace faucets
- Perform minor drywall repairs
- Change outlets and basic fixtures
- Complete general handyman repairs
- Contact residents to schedule and confirm appointments
- Receive work orders through email/system link
- Complete documentation and submit work order details after each job
- Maintain professionalism and cleanliness in homes
- Track mileage and submit logs for reimbursement
- Travel to various property locations
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Proven experience in residential maintenance or handyman work
- Ability to provide professional references
- Comfortable entering homes when residents are not present
- Strong plumbing and basic electrical knowledge
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Organized and able to complete paperwork accurately
- Professional communication skills
