Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals Laguna Hills is recruiting for a Shipping Clerk for a medical device company in Aliso Viejo, CA. This company is growing and looking to add a new permanent team member. This is a full-time eval/hire offering up to $22/hour DOE.
Schedule: M-F day shift; 7:00 am – 3:30pm
Job Duties:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify the accuracy of shipment, including customer returns (RMA), ensuring the goods have been recorded and notified to the RMA producer.
- Deliver received materials/items to the correct departments and obtain authorized signatures for accepted items
- Maintain shipping and receiving records.
- May operate dolly and/or pallet jack in loading and unloading supplies and equipment
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives and safety
- Communicate any order issues or concerns to Manager and/or CEO.
- Prepare shipments for post office, Fed Ex, UPS; determine most economical and efficient shipping method; pack items to ensure safe delivery
- Prepare bills of lading; check items to be shipped against sales orders to ascertain that quantities, destination and routing are correct
- Trace lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiate proof of delivery documents
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a shipping receiving environment (minimum 2 years)
- Must have experience using International shipping, FedEx, and UPS softwares
- Experience using Microsoft Word & Excel
- Organized, Detail Oriented, and can follow schedules
